Position: Software Quality Assurance Engineer
Type: Contract: 3 Months
Location: Waterloo, ON
Incorporated Contract Rate: Negotiable based on experience

Job Description:

As a QA Engineer you can analyze business requirements and scenarios very well, lead white box testing team, create test plans, test cases and oversee use of test frameworks development and execution.

Our client is current looking for a Software QA Engineer to deliver effective assurance of product quality through:
- manual testing
- test automation
- peer reviews,
- white/black-box testing and other forms of engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work as a QA (Test) Engineer by closely collaborating with Testing, Performance and Development teams.
- Develop Automation, Unit tests using C++, Python
- Genuine interest to come up with innovative ways to test/break the software and find issues which otherwise customer may find later.
- Design, Develop and Maintain Test Plan and Test Cases.
- Estimate, plan and implement QA schedules with the help QA Manager and the QA team.
- Participate and Contribute in Code Reviews with the Dev team.
- Own QA Documentation for defects, procedures and process.
- Troubleshoot customer issues and interface with appropriate product teams on issue resolution on end to end basis.

Required Experience/Skills & Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 5 to 8 years of total Soft ware Industry experience.
- 2+ Years of experience in programming, developing automation tests
- Experience in one or more of the following areas:
Python automation, API Testing, Performance Testing, Security Testing, and Agile Methodology. -Good knowledge of windows PC technologies and basic network related concepts.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills and must be a strong team player.
- Possess a good attitude towards work and must be self-motivated
